Ich habe den letzten Tag darüber gerätselt warum openSUSE 12.1 (64bit) so langsam in der Virtualbox (Host: Kubuntu 64bit) läuft. Was auch immer es ist, mit einem 32-Bit Image läuft das Gast wieder flüssig. Vermutlich hat Virtualbox mit der Emulation von 64bit Gästen, nachdem das Gastsystem aber sowieso nicht mehr als 4GB RAM bekommt ist [...]

Nachdem einige Distributionen begonnen haben die ia32-lib* (32bit-Kompatibilitätsbibliotheken) wegen inkompatabilitäten mit anderen Programmen(welch ironie ), aus ihren Repositorien (oder repositories) herauszunehmen kommt es wohl bei einigen Leuten die das WTK benutzen wollten zu Problemen. Wie angekündigt, gibt’s Flashqard 0.15.0 jetzt auch auf Deutsch. Zu finden, immernoch in meinem Ubuntu PPA: https://launchpad.net/~opensource-michael-skiba/+archive/ppa Die Version 0.15.0-1ubuntu2 sollte als neuste auftauchen und ist die richtige (für den Namen kann nich nix, ehrlich O:-) )

Sometime in the past few days I discovered that my media partition wasn’t mounted anymore (ext3 FS). Also my root partition (ext4 FS) wasn’t listed under /dev/ anymore. So far I’ve tested it only under Linux but it should work on Windows and Mac OS too. To be honest Amarok 2.0(.0.0), was excitingly new and had some improvements over 1.4 (well, actually the only one I recall atm is the fact that you’re able to skip back and forward in a random playlist – but hey! ) But all in all it was hardly a match for the solid Amarok 1.4 [...]
